Behind, the beautifully bricked far wall accents entry to the lower level, a dramatic streetscape landing — bringing the outdoors in. Taking residence upon bricked floors and setting the scene of a walk downtown are a bright red telephone booth replica, custom “street” lamps and diminutive man of the hour, Mr. McBee, a leprechaun statue serving as pub mascot.

The upstairs hall accommodates 125 but, when combined with downstairs, the restaurant opens to a potential 300 occupants. A charmingly accessorized outdoor patio, reminiscent of a big city bistro, seats an additional 28 people.

Stained-glass inserts in heavy wooden doors. Custom shamrock-bedecked transoms. Top-of-the-line sound and light systems. Not a particle of particle board exists in the styling of Bickey’s authentic pub. He carefully studied Ireland’s quintessential gathering places in person, distilling his observations into the unique vision for McBee’s. “Everybody thought I brought back furniture. I didn’t. What I brought back were ideas,” Bickey states.
